THE BEAUTIES AND THE BEAST
Jerzy Hoffman and the Heroines of his films

and photographs of Zenon Żyburtowicz

Photographs and cartoons inspired by Jerzy Hoffman's films. "The Beauties" - Polish actresses known for such productions as "Mr. Wołodyjowski", "The Deluge", "The Charlatan" or "The Old Tale. When The Sun Was God "and" The Beast "– directed by Jerzy Hoffman will be presented in two ways – on portraits and photo-jokes by Zenon Żyburtowicz and in caricatures and drawings by Dariusz Łabędzki. The exhibition will include pictures and caricatures made with various techniques, such as watercolor, airbrush, pastel, ink and mixed media. Among others there will be portraits of Bożena Dykiel, Anna Dymna, Małgorzata Foremniak, Irena Karel, Izabella Scorupco, Elżbieta Starostecka, Grażyna Szapołowska, Beata Tyszkiewicz, Natasza Urbańska, Ewa Wiśniewska, Magdalena Zawadzka and Jerzy Hoffman himself. The presentation will be accompanied by a calendar for 2018 with reproductions of works published on the occasion of the 85th birthday of Jerzy Hoffman and the 40th anniversary of the Museum of Caricature.
