Donald made in Austria!
exhibition 30.11.2022 – 31.01.2023
the opening night 29.11 godz. 18.00
An exhibition prepared by the Austrian Museum of Caricature in Krems presented in Lengrenówka, the open studio of the Museum of Caricature in Warsaw.
The exhibition gives a broad insight into the designs and working methods of the internationally renowned character designer Florian Satzinger. The show is complemented by diversity expert Maryam Laura Moazedi, who comments on current issues concerning the avoidance of stereotypes in character design.
Originally from Graz, character designer and illustrator Florian Satzinger develops new – and reworks existing – characters for animated films, television and cinema. In addition to classic drawings, he designs so-called blueprints for characters, e.g. to break them down into several basic shapes, develop solids and perspective, and various poses and facial expressions.
Maryam Laura Moazedi from Graz is a diversity expert and accompanies this project. She educates on stereotypes in comics and animated film. Ready-made cartoon characters of heroes from contemporary animated film are ubiquitous and have a strong effect on the imagination, not least because designers constantly use them in the images and products they create.
